Katie O’Brien is from Galway and is a Para-Rower with her eyes and heart set on a gold medal at the Paralympics in Paris in 2024. Katie won the gold medal in the Para women’s single sculls at the World Rowing Championships in 2022!
Katie represents Ireland in the PR2 W1x category. Katie currently rows out of Galway Rowing Club and previously rowed for UCD Rowing Club, while she was studying to become a veterinarian.
Katie also won the bronze medal at the 2019 World Rowing Championships in Linz. She has become a huge success in her field. Katie is a star on the rise and this Galway girl is going all in on her pursuit of a gold medal at Paris 2024.
